A huge win for our new salesperson Georgie! Reddings Primary School in Hemel Hempstead heard of us from Mr. Weightman at Tudor Primary, who we have worked with for many years, and he put in a lovely recommendation for us. From there Mr. Linford at Reddings invited us in to quote for their new EYFS play area project, which focused on transforming the frontmost play space in their grounds.
The scheme featured a huge number of outdoor play and learning provisions, designed to enable continuous indoor/outdoor provision for their youngest pupils.
A reading hut provides a nook for story times and quiet group work
Two gorgeous rainbow canopies create spaces to take lessons outdoors all year round, and transform the space with vibrant colour
A sensory pathway leads around the central climber and boosts inclusivity and spatial awareness skills
Another rainbow canopy provides shelter out of the second EYFS classroom
A roadway provides a focused outlet for energy and enables their pupils to develop an understanding of the world, with numbered parking bays to help store their ride on toys neatly.
The Reddings wanted a free-form climber to invite their pupils to explore three-dimensionally, and so a bespoke Itsy Bitsy climber was the perfect solution. We also added on a set of monkey rungs as requested, to boost grip-and-grasp and gross motor skills.
The design maximises colour and vibrancy to create a really attractive play space.
and the finishing touch… electric roller shutters to one of the rainbow canopies, to create a secure storage space and a more weatherproof space for lessons outdoors all year round!
We’re incredibly proud of this design, and really grateful to work with another local school on a huge design. We hope their pupils love their new play space in the autumn term!
