Giles Infants School in Stevenage are long-time customers of Setter Play, and we have a lovely working relationship with their SLT, for which we are really grateful. Our latest works at the school transformed their Key Stage 1 and EYFS play areas, with a variety of exciting new climbing frames and play areas.
On the KS1 play area we installed an attractive timber play castle to boost imagination- and role-play value in the play area, and spark stories and adventures.
We also relocated and re-installed their music panels, to make room for Giles Castle. The design features a variety of climbing activities to the rear and role-play features to the front, as well as a castle keep playhouse on the top deck, providing an exciting vantage point over the play area. Underfoot we installed a compacted stone foundation and black wetpour rubber throughout, providing fall protection as well as all-weather access.
In Giles’ reception play area we installed our expansive Jellywood climber, with three towers providing a wide variety of climbing activities, to boost gross-motor skill development.
This area was also complete with groundworks and black wetpour rubber, providing a long-lasting and durable surfacing solution to the play area.
This impressive climber gives a big transformation to the play area!
The project was finished with an adventure trail in the KS1 play area, with new rubber matting surfacing to provide a more cost-effective safety- and all-weather surface.
