Description
St Andrews Castle sits proudly atop a large mound in St. Andrews Primary School in Hitchin’s grounds. It consists of elegant cedar timbers, giving it a lovely soft reddish look, and has two towers, each packed with climbing activities, such as a balancing log to surmount, ramps, and steps.
The key features of St Andrews Castle are the 12m stainless steel slide that runs down their bank, which is then paired with a 12m crawl net up the other side of the bank. This pair of bespoke activities increases the play value massively, and really sets this scheme apart from the rest. It also furthers imagination play, as you can ‘attack’ and ‘escape’ from the castle quickly and dramatically!
