Buckhurst Hill Community Primary School near to Chingford invited Setter Play to design and quote for their big new play project, with a brief to refresh their top space of wetpour rubber surfacing amongst the trees.
We created a bespoke spin on our popular ‘Twig Hill’ climber to fit in the space, with additions such as a climbing wall and HDPE slide to meet the school’s brief.
Beyond the main climber we also designed an exciting new trim trail, which winds around the space and creates a challenge for their pupils to complete without touching the ground.
We finished the space with new wetpour rubber surfacing, to ensure the play area complies with the EN1176 safety standard.
As an addition to the project we also designed a new outdoor performance area amongst their tree circle, complete with spectator benches and rubber mulch surfacing underfoot
We are hugely proud of this project at Buckhurst Hill, and of our installers for delivering the project through very cold and icy weather. Hopefully we will get to work with Buckhurst on their next project!
