Setter Play was commissioned by Ickleford Primary School to design a bespoke climber that would feature as the centrepiece for their nursery play area redevelopment. They loved our idea for a Treehouse combined with a free-form climbing frame that would offer imagination- and adventure-play opportunities for their younger years.
The large treehouse deck is complete with bonded rubber mulch around it to provide all-weather access and a spongy, impact-absorbing surface for any trips and falls. The muted red colour is sympathetic to the rural surroundings too.
Ickleford’s bespoke climber features an angled log ladder with a drop-rope traverse and shimmy rope traverse at either end, helping to develop core strength, balance, coordination and grip-and-grasp
The spiders web net at the end offers a climbing activity that also encourage imagination-play as their pupils try to escape the spider!
Ickleford Primary love their new climbing frame, and we’re hugely proud to have worked with another local school on a special scheme.
