We have recently worked with Dawnus Construction to complete an 85m long timber walkway canopy at Arborfield School in Reading.
Sitting on steel feet and utilising glulam timber beams for the uprights and rafters, the structure combines modern construction techniques with the traditional timber.
Opal polycarbonate roofing sheets also reflect 98% of harmful UV-rays, ensuring the walkway is kept cool and inviting whatever the weather.
The original design for the walkway canopy was deemed too expensive by the client, and so Setter Play were entrusted to redesign the canopy whilst also value engineering it. We proposed an alternative solution for the walkway canopy that the client, architect and the main contractor liked, and so we commenced construction.
